An independent, technical and thorough Home Inspector – you can trust.
I provide independent premium quality home inspections you can trust. You may have decided to buy a home and will be using the services of a home inspector. This is a very exciting time for many people which is why you may want to slow down a little and make sure you are also making educated choices. It is in your best interest to do some research when hiring a Home Inspector. My experience, qualifications, professional practice, communication, education and work ethic simply exceeds the other Home Inspectors in Nanaimo.
Question: What is a home inspection?
Answer: A home inspection is a comprehensive visual examination of the home’s overall structure, major systems and components. Mark Nicholet will review the house as a system, looking at how one component of the house might affect the operability or lifespan of another. Components that are not performing properly will be identified, as well as items that are beyond their useful lifespan and or components that may be unsafe. The purpose of the home inspection is to provide the client with a better understanding of the property conditions, as observed at the time of the inspection.
Consumer Protection BC ‘s website states: A home inspection is an educational process which is designed to reduce a consumer’s risk when buying a home.

Listen to what people are saying about Mark Nicholet Nanaimo Home Inspections:
All of my Nanaimo home inspections include the use of an infrared camera. With this technology, I can see beyond the spectrum of natural light. I can measure the temperature variances of any surface to determine water leaks, energy leaks, fire hazards, lack of insulation and other structural problems.

My custom reports include narrative descriptions, implications and recommendations. I will take several pictures to identify issues for you. I have over 1700 illustrations available from the Carson Dunlop illustrated home library to help explain any concerns. All my reports are available and stored online within 24 hours of the nanaimo home inspection.
I strongly encourage my clients to accompany me during the home inspection.
You should feel free to ask any questions you may have during the home inspection. I will point out problems and explain them to you. I will also show you the good points of the home. I will explain any routine maintenance required to keep the house in top condition. This will help you understand the systems that make up your home and how to maintain them.
I provide longer more thorough inspections.
The home inspection industry standard is approximately 2-3 hours per. I spend more time on site (4-6 hours) collecting data providing a more thorough home inspection. I enter areas that other inspectors may not go including leopard crawling in attics and or crawlspaces.
At Apple Home Inspections I am happy to include recall check with every nanaimo home inspection I perform. Recall check performs a thorough examination of over 195 million recalled appliances as listed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. As part of your home inspection I will take note of the appliances make and model number. I then enter the appliance information into the Recall check database and then notify you of any current recalls including how to get the appliance repaired free of charge by the manufacturer. Please contact me anytime fore more information on my recall check service or to schedule an inspection.
Inspecting is my passion not just my career.
I believe in providing you with a home inspection service the RIGHT way the first time. That includes ethical relationships with all of my clients, vendors, real estate agents and other involved parties. I bring a truck with tools and ladders not a small car with binoculars and short telescopic ladders. The components of the building need to be touched and examined closely not just looked at from a distance. I want to inspect your next home and your friends or family homes; I will earn my referral(s). I am your consultant for the entire time you reside in the inspected building. I simply just work harder for you and have more technical knowledge. Your safety and comfort are always my top priority.
Call me 7 days per week with any questions or concerns you may have, my door is always open for you. www.applehomeinspections.ca
